Abigail’s “Til Kingdom Come” series explores themes of darkness and light, and pride and downfall, and follows the story of Ravenna—a young woman who finds herself at the mercy of darkness. Ravenna’s life is uprooted, and she is consumed by a world she’s only ever known at surface level. Through heartbreak and a long journey of vengeance, Ravenna will do anything to save her loved ones from the darkness that fights to control all of Arresia.
RUSH OF RAVENS
BY ABIGAIL BRIER
In a world where the king kills those gifted by the Light to steal their power, Ravenna wants nothing more than to fight with the warriors of Vestele against the evil Despiri king. But Ravenna's mother holds her fate in her hands, wishing for Ravenna to marry and avoid the dangers of war. Ravenna runs the Gauntlet to prove herself to her mother, but when she returns home with the bloodstone prize in hand, she sets off a chain of events that are sure to alter her future. She finds herself as shield-maiden, and she soon becomes a curse to her own people. But she will do anything to protect them—including the one thing she swore she would never do.

Content Warnings for the Til Kingdom Come series…
This list will likely be added to as I continue writing. I want to preface with this: my intention for this series is to show how the light shines through even complete and utter darkness. In order to do this, my characters will be walking through lots of shadows—physically and emotionally. I do not write these dark themes lightly, or to glorify them. I only want to portray the darker parts of life accurately so that I can better paint a picture of the beauty of the light.
Because of the heavy themes, my recommended age rating for the Til Kingdom Come series is 18+
depictions of death and violence
descriptions of torture
depression and grief
thoughts of suicide / losing the will to live
human trafficking, slavery, and maltreatment - this is a major theme in the series as it deals with the persecution of a specific group of people
there is no sexual assault on or off page, but there are lewd comments here and there made by antagonists that could be considered sexual harassment by some readers
This series will remain free of explicit sexual content. There will be some romantic storylines throughout the series, but sex will remain off-page and only be implied if I felt it was needed to further the storyline.
no foul language
Romans 8:18 ESV
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

What is Abigail up to?
Hi!
Thanks for being here. I am currently working on the developmental edits for my novella (Sea of Sorrows, book 1.5) and for Dawn of Doves, book 2 in my series! The next several months will be very busy for me as I prepare these books for publication. I am so excited that you all are excited for the continuation of this series after reading Rush of Ravens. Rush of Ravens is my baby and I am in awe of all of the support I have received thus far on “bookstagram.” Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your comments, messages, and shares. They do not go unnoticed.
This story is very close to my heart—as it comes from a place of deep joy I have because of my Savior, Jesus. With open arms in the midst of grief, darkness, and utter brokenness, He has always been there. I hope this series can convey the true message of hope—an eternal light in a transient darkness—that He has shown to me. All my hope is in Jesus and I owe all of the glory to Him, forever.
“The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light,
And upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death
Light has dawned.”
Matthew 4:16 NKJV
